Terms of Use

By using DevCraftKit you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. The terms are written to be readable; they sit alongside the Privacy Policy and the Disclaimer.

DevCraftKit is a collection of free online developer utilities and educational articles. No account is needed. The tools analyse, format, calculate or transform text that you provide, and show you the result.

You may use the tools and read the guides for any lawful purpose. You agree not to:

• Use the site to attack, probe or disrupt systems you do not own or have permission to test.
• Use the Redirect Chain Analyzer, or any other feature that contacts a URL, to harass or overload a third-party website.
• Send automated traffic at the site in a way that degrades it for other people.
• Attempt to interfere with the site's security or availability.
• Copy substantial parts of the guides or tool pages and publish them as your own.

The tools follow documented behaviour and are tested, but they can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Standards, browsers and servers change, and real configurations depend on environments the tools cannot see. Results are provided for information and assistance only. Verify anything important independently before you rely on it, especially in production or security decisions.

• The Log Sanitizer reduces the chance of leaking sensitive values but cannot find every one. Review its output before you share it, and rotate any real secret that has been exposed.
• The security and configuration analyzers perform automated checks on the text you give them. They are not a penetration test, an audit or a certification.
• The .htaccess Analyzer cannot know which Apache modules, overrides and hosting settings apply to your server, so it can only report what the file itself shows.
• The Redirect Chain Analyzer is limited by what a web browser is allowed to observe, and some sites cannot be inspected from a web page.

You are responsible for what you enter into the tools and for what you do with the results. Do not enter data you are not allowed to handle. Follow your organisation's policies on credentials, personal data and customer information, and keep backups before you change production configuration.

The site is provided as it is and as it becomes available. Tools and articles can change, move or be removed, and the site can be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. Features marked "Coming soon" are plans, not promises. We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest revision, and continued use after a change means you accept it.

The site may link to other websites and may display advertising provided by third parties such as Google AdSense. We do not control those services or their content, and their own terms and privacy policies apply to them. The optional "Buy me a byte" link opens the Buy Me a Coffee website, which is independent of DevCraftKit. Support is entirely optional and does not unlock any feature.

The text, design, branding and code of DevCraftKit belong to its developer. You may link to any page. Standards, protocols and product names mentioned on the site (such as HTTP, Content-Security-Policy, JSON or Apache) belong to their respective owners and are explained here in our own words. Content you enter into a tool remains yours.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, DevCraftKit and its developer are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the site or its tools, including data loss, security incidents, downtime or business loss that results from relying on a result. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
